A passionate individual with years of experience in upper management and the nonprofit sector, Geoff is thrilled about the opportunity to harness his diverse skillset in a way that will benefit entrepreneurs who are looking to boost their businesses.

Who Is Geoff Zak?

Geoff has had an incredibly diverse background, working in performing arts as well as in business and the nonprofit sector. He found himself gravitating toward the creativity and problem-solving required to grow small to medium businesses. Geoff is particularly invested in fostering supportive and accountable relationships between owners and managers.

He has worked in upper management in the restaurant industry for 15 years with an additional 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. During that time, Geoff aided in workforce development initiatives, human services delivery to vulnerable populations, and targeted leadership and development for businesses.

Recently, Geoff is especially proud of his role in managing an innovative Pittsburgh restaurant incubator and food hall concept. The project gained national attention and helped to launch the careers of many aspiring local chefs and entrepreneurs. 

Why Did Geoff Make a Career Change?

Geoff refers to the time during which he realigned his focus as the “bearded Al Gore” period of his career. He decided to take a hiatus in order to recharge and rethink the direction of his career. He spent time being present with his family and exploring what might come next.
