Steven on the Franchising 101 Podcast Series!
Steven Nickens had amassed an incredibly impressive resume as a corporate leader and even as a stint as a small business owner. Due to the pandemic, Steven's job had been eliminated so he and his wife Kim felt like it might be time to explore a business of their own to run together.
The two wanted a business that would allow them to provide a very high-quality service to their customers where they would be seen as a trusted advisor in the community while building long-term relationships. The FranCoach team's research led to four franchise options.
Initially, Steven and Kim were intrigued by all four. After the first round of calls they were extremely excited about three of the four. Each of these three had great features for the two and they could see the potential to grow a big business.
Ultimately Steven and Kim applied the FranCoach "get out of bed test" theory to each franchise. Once they did this, the path became clear. Steven and Kim attended a virtual Discovery Day after which the Nickens' and the franchisor were convinced this was the match and now they are proud new owners of a Senior Helpers franchise.

Steven and Kimberly loved the ability to truly make a difference in the community with their clients and as an employer. They were also blown away by the culture and level of support the franchise offers.
