Nick Kruger had spent a decade in operations and finance for one of the largest residential real estate companies in the world. While he enjoyed his job, Nick was ready to build something of his own.
The FranCoach team worked with Nick to determine what key elements in a business he needed. Nick wanted a business he could be proud of, one that provided a quality service that generated repeat customers, and ideally one that could tap into his broad network in the real estate world.
Nick began vetting three franchisors that all initially seemed to be potential matches. Slowly, however, one franchise rose to the top. After attending Discovery Day for the front-runner Nick was ready to move forward and launch his new business with The Grounds Guys.
The Grounds Guys provide commercial, residential, and municipal property maintenance and landscaping services; snow removal services (depending on location); junk, trash, and debris removal; landscape design; horticultural services, namely, sod installation, lawn, and vegetation fertilization and treatment; and other related services and products.
Nick loved that The Grounds Guys checked all the boxes for the traits he wanted in a business plus the overwhelming level of support provided by the franchisor helped seal the deal. The Grounds Guys of Kansas City will be coming to a lawn near you in 2022.
